Equestrians and horse lovers in both the US and Canada will benefit by the expansion of The Mane Event Expo.
Each spring The Mane Event hosts the largest equine expo in Canada at its location in Red Deer, Alberta. In the fall the expo is held again in Chilliwack, BC, and draws record crowds. In 2017, The Mane Event will grow in new locations that include London, Ontario May 12-14 at the Western Fair District and also May 26-28 at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The new locations will retain the same, crowd pleasing format used in the original Western Canada events. This includes a variety of clinicians that represent both english and western disciplines, the popular Trainers Challenge, the Saturday night Equine Experience show and the newest addition to the expo, the Youth Pro-Am Competition.
“We are extremely excited to add these new locations to our existing line-up,” says Mane Event president Gail Barker. “We wanted to add an Ontario show for years so when we were invited to London it was a resounding yes. The Scottsdale show has also been a dream come true. We hope many of our attendees will take a few days vacation in May with us to enjoy this beautiful facility and the wonderful Scottsdale weather.”
Adds Barker, “We are looking forward to having a number of our present exhibitors join us in Ontario; with over 380,000 horses in the province we feel the expo will be a hit in that location, bringing valuable education and knowledge to horse owners and riders.”
WestWorld, in Scottsdale, Arizona, is well known to equestrians in both Canada and the US. It is home to the Sun Circuit Quarter Horse show and the Scottsdale Arabian show, in addition to 90 other equestrian events each year. This facility features the Equidome, a 120,000 square foot, climate controlled arena with 3,400 permanent seats, plus a large trade show floor and an indoor round pen.
“The Mane Event is excited to have secured dates at such a wonderful facility,” says Barker. “We can’t wait to begin working with Arizona horse people and expect they will enjoy the Mane Event as much as Canadian equestrians.”
