Pro-Am Competition Application

COMPETITION INFORMATION

  • Participants will be chosen from applications submitted prior to March 27, 2017.
  • Successful participants will be contacted by email or telephone by March 31, 2017 confirmation is required by April 7, 2017.
  • Stalls are available at a cost of $45.00 for a day stall (8:00 am – 10:00 pm same day), overnight stalls will be invoiced as 2 single day stalls, or $90.00 for the weekend (Thursday 8:00 am – Sunday 7:00 pm). Stalls must be booked & paid for in advance.
  • Stall Deposits (separate cheques or credit card) are $25.00 per stall and must be paid at the time of booking, these will be returned or destroyed after the stall is cleaned and inspected. If you pay by credit card, your number will be kept on file and a $25.00 charge will be processed if your stall is left dirty.
  • Clinic participants will be required to be on-site at least 1 hour prior to the start of their clinic, clean attire, tack and turn-out is required.
  • Any additional people arriving on-site with you will be required to purchase a paid admission.
  • There is no filming or videotaping of any clinics allowed.
  • Cancellation of attendance is required at least 48 hours prior to your clinic.

  • All correspondence from the Mane Event will come via email so please ensure that we are on your safe list.
  • We highly recommend you use a cell phone as this will be used during the show as well.

  • RULES AND CONDITIONS

    1. Please note that completion of a Youth Pro-Am Competition Application form does not necessarily mean that you will be chosen to participate in the Pro-Am. All applications are reviewed by the Rider Selection Committee to select the best matches for the requirements.
    2. If chosen to participate in the Pro-Am please note that the youth will receive one complimentary day pass to the Expo for the Friday (the day of the Youth Pro-Am).
    3. Any horses causing a problem and being a danger to itself or other animals or persons must be removed.
    4. We strongly recommend that all Pro-Am participants wear an approved safety helmet. If you choose to not wear a helmet, you will be required to sign an additional release.
    5. Participants should wear clean and appropriate clothing. Show clothing is not required but we ask that all clothing and equipment be clean and in good condition.
    6. If you have booked a stall please note that all stalls are assigned, there is no changing of stalls allowed. If you wish to be stabled next to or close to another participant please let us know.
    7. There are some “community” tack stalls available for use throughout the weekend, these are shared tack stalls so please be considerate. We do not recommend leaving tack in these stalls overnight and the Mane Event does not accept any responsibility for lost or stolen items. All items including horses, tack, equipment, vehicles, trailers are left at your own risk.
    8. Riders/handlers are responsible for providing feed, water buckets and wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels. All stalls are to be stripped clean upon departure. Shavings are provided by The Mane Event. Riders/handlers leaving stalls dirty will be subject to a $25.00 stall cleaning fee.
    9. The Rider Check-in will be open from Friday (8:00 am – 6:00 pm), Saturday (8:00 am – 6:00 pm) and Sunday (8:00 am – 2:00 pm). If you are arriving early please ensure that you contact our office so arrangements can be made. Signs will be displayed directing you to the Rider Check-In, which is a 28' Grey and Black Cargo Trailer with signage. It is important you check-in so that we know you are on-site for your clinic.
    10. A signed Rider Liability Waiver is required, if you are under 19 years of age your parent or guardian will be required to sign this form. If your parent or guardian is not traveling with you please contact our office so a form can be sent out ahead of time.
    11. Please be advised that all persons arriving on-site with you and anyone requiring any access to the grounds will be required to purchase a paid admission, this includes your coach, spouse and/or children (children under the age of seven are free).
    12. Admission is by wristband only so please ensure that you wear your wristband at all times.
    13. Please note that there is no filming or videotaping of any clinics, competitions or demonstrations allowed.
    14. You are responsible for being at the appropriate venue in time for your the competition. Late participants will be at risk of forfeiture.
    15. Cancellation is required at least 48 hours in advance.
