Jill teaches a diverse range of classes including: Working Equitation (Dressage, Obstacles, Speed), Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Team Roping, Break Away Roping and Working Cowhorse. She is a highly sought after clinician and judge across North America, working in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, British Columbia and all over Alberta. She also is an assistant coach for the Calgary Stampede Showrider Team, a group of elite youth equestrians that perform a dynamic musical ride at The Calgary Stampede and other international venues. Barron has also enjoyed working on movie sets and music videos. When not teaching other riders, Jill can be found training horses, her first true love. She takes pride in the time and process it takes to develop a confident, willing equine partner. She enjoys competing on the horses she has trained and can be found at shows and rodeos all over North America.
Barron ensures the same principles and core ideas are woven through the many disciplines she teaches. Horsemanship ‘basics’ although seemingly simple, are crucial to perfecting a balanced and effective partnership between horse and rider. Her program focuses on the three main concepts of timing, feel and balance. Once a rider has gained confidence in those three principles, they will be able to excel in the areas of control, accuracy and speed thereby blending the elements that make a successful horse and rider pair.
